The watchman’s letter at midnight

The word he now receives is “midnight”. Midnight is the darkest hour. For the wicked, God’s righteous judgments are in the earth. For the righteous there is hope. There is light. Midnight is a time for the people of God to be separate from the rest of the world. Midnight is a time to rise and give thanks to the Lord, to seek Him, to anticipate His coming, to watch, to pray and sing hymns to God, to be ready to depart the next day and continue preaching the words of God, for prisons to be opened and chains to be loosed, and to awake out of sleep, to put on Christ, the armor of light, and walk as in the day.

_____________Bible verses:

Exodus 12:29 28 Then the children of Israel went away and did so; just as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did. 29 And it came to pass at midnight that the Lord struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of livestock. 30 So Pharaoh rose in the night, he, all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

I am a companion of all who fear You,
And of those who keep Your precepts.

Romans 13:11-13 Put on Christ

11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.
