Let us be your hands and feet

A group of Bible College students (from all over the world) are going to visit and serve the people at the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. They are learning to show the love of God to a people whom they have never met. Please visit the following site and look at the pictures of some of the children and the magnificent sceneries. We would appreciate your show of love too by supporting the mission through donations and prayers. The money will go into the College’s accounts for a common pool for the whole group, although your donation is for a specific student. Every student is required to practice raising mission fund by faith. Thank you for making us your hands to serve the people and feet to walk this beautiful historical land.

“God will see to it, my son.” He did.

Romans 8-32This morning’s love message is : “God will see to it, my son.” While God will see to it, we need to come to God with a vision, seeing into the unseen by unwavering faith, as led by the Holy Spirit.

(All Scriptures are quoted from NKJV unless otherwise specified)

Indeed, in the classic case of Abraham’s affirmation of his vision of God’s true nature, God saw to it that Abraham and wife did not have to lose their greatest love -their only son, Isaac, born to him and his wife Sarah at their very old age. What did Abraham see when he went to the mountain of vision with his son just as God instructed him to do? He saw the awesome love of God, who provided His own greatest love, the Son of God -Jesus as a substitute for Abraham and Isaac and all mankind!  Jesus became the perfect sacrifice! (Hebrews 10:5-14 “10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”)

God told Abraham to go to the land of Moriah (Hebrew: מוֹרִיָּה‬‬ -“ordained/considered by the LORD”, which is the name given to a mountainous region by the Book of Genesis, in which context it is the location of the intended sacrifice of Isaac. The Vulgate renders the location specified by God for the sacrifice as terram Visionis, traditionally rendered “land of Vision” in Catholic translations.

Genesis 22:2 Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”

3 So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. 4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off.

22:8 Abraham said, “The lamb for the entirely burned offering? God will see to it, my son.” The two of them walked on together. (CEB)
God will see to it, my son,” Abraham replied. And they went on. (TLB)
Abraham said, “Son, God will see to it that there’s a sheep for the burnt offering.” And they kept on walking together.(MSG)

22:13 Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.

Hebrews 11:17-19
By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, 18 of whom it was said, “In Isaac your seed shall be called,” 19 concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.

John 8:55-56 (Jesus said)
Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”

Where is our land of vision today? Jesus said, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63) We can see by reading His words.

We can also see (know) by the Holy Spirit, Jesus said, “the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” (John 14:17) The Holy Spirit will enables us to see, Jesus said, “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.” (John 16:13-15)

What shall we focus on seeing? Like Abraham we only need to focus on seeing God’s great love, “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32)

Awesome! God’s name is LOVE.

Fruitfulness: And their fruit shall be for food and their leaves for healing.

Ezekiel 47:12After writing my previous blog on renewal of my prayer and worship life by emulating those missionaries who focus on staying and soaking in the presence of the Lord, I experienced some significant (to me) changes. Here is what happened today.

I had to accompany some guests to a shopping mall for a birthday teen to buy her present. Having waited a long time (like two hours) in some clothes shops, I suggested we walk back to the first one she visited. While waiting on a bench in front of a clothes shop, I noticed a tiny girl in a wheel chair. She seemed tired and making some sounds. Her dad sat next to me. The passers by tried looking in other directions so as not to make his situation more difficult. But I was led in my spirit to start a conversation with him. He told me she is his second daughter, fifteen years old. She has the body and stature of a very young child. He told me she was operated three times, and had chemotherapy for brain tumor at three years old. The treatment affected her bone marrow and stunted her growth. She is now on hormone treatment to help her growth. He told me his three children’s names and their meanings (sun, star, and light). The girl is named after a star. I told him I am a Christian who believes that our God heals, and asked him whether he believes in divine healing and miracles. He said yes. He said he is open to all religions and agreed that I could pray for her. So I shared with him about Jesus and that Jesus saves and heals. Then I prayed for his second daughter. She voluntarily stretched her hands to me and held my hands as I spoke to her, prayed and blessed her.

I told her she has a beautiful name and I thanked our God for creating beautiful things like the sun, the stars and light. She brightened up and smiled. By faith I spoke to the body to be restored to God’s original beautiful creation and design.

After that the dad told me he believes this is not a chance meeting. He is not local. He drove from another town with his family today to visit the eldest daughter who studies in a college here. He was waiting for his wife and eldest daughter who were also shopping in the same shop my guests were shopping. The newly renovated and expanded mall is huge and there are many beautiful branded clothes shops. He said he believed God had arranged this meeting. I too believe the same. After coming out of two other more trendy shops for youngsters with empty hands, I suggested to the teen to return to this particular shop as its name came to my mind for no reason. While the birthday girl and her entourage were giving this more classic shop another try I saw this man and his daughter sitting next to me. This is not a chance meeting. I agree.

This incident confirms to me that going to the secret place of the Father in heaven through prayer and worship opens a new realm of spiritual reality on earth. Where I currently reside, people do not normally go around talking to strangers, volunteering to pray for healing. But this watchman has been convicted to do something that makes a difference, regardless of how the gathering crowd may view or comment. What matters is that the Lord has answered prayers. The prayer of the watchman to be led deeper into the Holy Spirit river of healing and wonders, and the cry of a father to help his daughter. He has waited for twelve years for a breakthrough. His waiting has not been in vain. She can walk, but she needs further strengthening, he said. She also attends a normal school. I pray he and his child will continue to walk by faith, love, and hope.

Here is the assurance from our Lord Jesus:
Mark 5:36, 40-42 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
36 [a]Overhearing but ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear; only keep on believing.
40 And they (others) laughed and [a]jeered at Him. But He put them all out, and, taking the child’s father and mother and those who were with Him, He went in where the little girl was lying.
41 Gripping her [firmly] by the hand, He said to her, Talitha cumi—which translated is, Little girl, I say to you, arise [[b]from the sleep of death]!
42 And instantly the girl got up and started walking around—for she was twelve years old. And they were utterly astonished and overcome with amazement.

Mark 5:36 Some manuscripts so read.

Mark 5:41 Joseph Thayer, A Greek-English Lexicon.

Hebrews 7:25 AMPC
Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them.

Ezekiel 47 (Quoted in parts)
8 Then he said to me, These waters pour out toward the eastern region and go down into the Arabah (the Jordan Valley) and on into the Dead Sea. And when they shall enter into the sea [the sea of putrid waters], the waters shall be healed and made fresh.
9 And wherever the double river shall go, every living creature which swarms shall live. And there shall be a very great number of fish, because these waters go there that [the waters of the sea] may be healed and made fresh; and everything shall live wherever the river goes.
12 And on the banks of the river on both its sides, there shall grow all kinds of trees for food; their leaf shall not fade nor shall their fruit fail [to meet the demand]. Each tree shall bring forth new fruit every month, [these supernatural qualities being] because their waters came from out of the sanctuary. And their fruit shall be for food and their leaves for healing.

Daily Word: Isaiah 5417 verbal accuser silenced and rendered ineffectual

isaiah-5417-copyToday’s word is from Isaiah 54:17 no weapon turned against you will succeed.
You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. The scenario is not new. Jesus had many accusers in His time on earth. So were the apostles. For example, Paul. Take note that the accuser uses words, spoken or written. Their accusations were based on their own personal (political) agenda and in the case of Jesus and the apostles (and later the believers of Jesus Christ) they were not true. For those who read the Bible to the end you will have noticed A RECORD OF AN ACCUSER of the brethren in the Book of Revelation. Jesus called the accuser the FATHER OF LIES. Those who lie and give false witness in courts/similar official places (of governing authority) are termed children of the father of lies. In the Old Testament Book of Exodus 20:16 recorded the original commandment of God against lying/giving false accusation about others, “You must not testify falsely against your neighbor.”
In the New Testament Book of Revelation 22:15 Jesus names those (including everyone who loves and practices falsehood) who will not be allowed to enter into God’s presence (New heaven and new earth).

(The Bible verses are quoted from New Living Translation unless otherwise specified)
10 Then I heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens,
“It has come at last—
salvation and power
and the Kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Christ.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters
has been thrown down to earth
the one who accuses them
before our God day and night.

Revelation 22:15 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Outside are the dogs [the godless, the impure, those of low moral character] and the sorcerers [with their intoxicating drugs, and magic arts], and the immoral persons [the perverted, the molesters, and the adulterers], and the murderers, and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying (deception, cheating).

Isaiah 54:9-17
9 “Just as I swore in the time of Noah
that I would never again let a flood cover the earth,
so now I swear
that I will never again be angry and punish you.
10 For the mountains may move
and the hills disappear,
but even then my faithful love for you will remain.
My covenant of blessing will never be broken,”
says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
11 “O storm-battered city,
troubled and desolate!
I will rebuild you with precious jewels
and make your foundations from lapis lazuli.
12 I will make your towers of sparkling rubies,
your gates of shining gems,
and your walls of precious stones.
13 I will teach all your children,
and they will enjoy great peace.
14 You will be secure under a government that is just and fair.
Your enemies will stay far away.
You will live in peace,
and terror will not come near.
15 If any nation comes to fight you,
it is not because I sent them.
Whoever attacks you will go down in defeat.
16 “I have created the blacksmith
who fans the coals beneath the forge
and makes the weapons of destruction.
And I have created the armies that destroy.
17 But in that coming day
no weapon turned against you will succeed.
You will silence every voice
raised up to accuse you.
These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord;
their vindication will come from me.
I, the Lord, have spoken!
New Living Translation (NLT)

2 Corinthians 5:14-21 Amplified Bible (AMP)
For the love of Christ controls and compels us, because we have concluded this, that One died for all, therefore all died; 15 and He died for all, so that all those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and was raised for their sake.

16 So from now on we regard no one from a human point of view [according to worldly standards and values]. Though we have known Christ from a human point of view, now we no longer know Him in this way. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]. 18 But all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ [making us acceptable to Him] and gave us the ministry of reconciliation [so that by our example we might bring others to Him], 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting people’s sins against them [but canceling them]. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation [that is, restoration to favor with God].

20 So we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us; we [as Christ’s representatives] plead with you on behalf of Christ to be reconciled to God. 21 He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in a right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness].

“I will plant in the wilderness; That they may see and know,”

isaiah-411720“The poor and needy seek water, but there is none,
Their tongues fail for thirst.
I, the Lord, will hear them;
I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.
I will open rivers in desolate heights,
And fountains in the midst of the valleys;
I will make the wilderness a pool of water,
And the dry land springs of water.
I will plant in the wilderness the cedar and the acacia tree,
The myrtle and the oil tree;
I will set in the desert the cypress tree and the pine
And the box tree together,
That they may see and know,
And consider and understand together,
That the hand of the Lord has done this,
And the Holy One of Israel has created it.
~~~Isaiah 41:17-20 (NKJV)
Lord, while they curse, may you bless
may you blessKing David’s depression: Psalm 109 study on verbal abuses:
King David expresses the mental and emotional anguish of a person oppressed by verbal abuses. The weapons they use are words. Lies and slanders. Accusations. Hate crimes. This is done by people whom David has considered his friends. They have turned against him for no legitimate reasons.
How does David defend himself against such verbal abuses? David prays.
My God, whom I praise, do not remain silent, for people who are wicked and deceitful have opened their mouths against me; they have spoken against me with lying tongues. With words of hatred they surround me; they attack me without cause. In return for my friendship they accuse me, but I am a man of prayer. They repay me evil for good, and hatred for my friendship. (1-5)
In 1-5, 16-19 We read that the enemy was wicked, deceitful, and spoke against David with lying tongues. The wicked never thought of doing kindness, hounded to death the poor, needy, brokenhearted, loved to pronounce curses and never blessed.
David asks the Lord to do to his enemy what the enemy does to others. In 8-20 David prays against his enemy. He cannot stop his accuser from smearing him with verbal abuses and wrongful accusations, so he turns to God for help.
Appoint someone evil to oppose my enemy; let an accuser stand at his right hand. When he is tried, let him be found guilty, and may his prayers condemn him. (6-7) May this be the Lord’s payment to my accusers, to those who speak evil of me.” (20)
David speaks of how the accuser’s verbal abuses do hurt him, and how his mental anguish has affected and caused sicknesses and suffering to his physical body.
But you, Sovereign Lord, help me for your name’s sake; out of the goodness of your love, deliver me. For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me. I fade away like an evening shadow; I am shaken off like a locust. My knees give way from fasting; my body is thin and gaunt. I am an object of scorn to my accusers; when they see me, they shake their heads. (21-25)
David knows and believes that God can turn the curses from his enemy into blessing. The enemy’s curses will no longer have any effect on him. Instead God will vindicate him.
Help me, Lord my God; save me according to your unfailing love. Let them know that it is your hand, that you, Lord, have done it. While they curse, may you bless; may those who attack me be put to shame, but may your servant rejoice. May my accusers be clothed with disgrace and wrapped in shame as in a cloak. (26-29)
David knows one truth: God is always on his side. If God is for us who can be against us? This is David’s key to success. He overcomes his depression by his re-focus on God and no longer on the enemy. He witnesses God and not the enemy.
With my mouth I will greatly extol the Lord; in the great throng of worshippers I will praise him. For he stands at the right hand of the needy, to save the lives from those who would condemn them. (30-31)
David is a man of God. Here is another example of his declaration of his unwavering conviction and faith in God: “Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless. With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.” (Psalm 108:12-13)
Romans 8:31-33
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.
for whom the bell tollsDid Jesus die for the COLORED PEOPLE? The IMMIGRANTS? Did he die for the LGBT? YES. The SOCIOPATH? HE DID. Surprised? But Jesus did. He died for everyone. why do I say so? In the last two days I read the following Bible verses which clearly say so.
Romans 8:29-39; John 10:1-18; Isaiah 53:1-12; John 3:16-17; Romans 10:9-13,20; Galatians 3:5,13,26-29 and many more.
I quote below two passages which my spirit perceives are the messages for us (Christians and non-Christians) today. The verses clearly include all regardless of racial, social class, economic, gender, physical, mental, emotional, educational, ideological, or other status and conditions. Because Jesus said that the Bible is spiritual, I would include the spiritual status too.  Indeed, Jesus has put the spiritual status as foremost in the matters of God and His ministry on earth. His Kingdom is not like what Pilate had thought. Pilate thought it was a political, military, and geographical entity. But Jesus said “NO.” The apostle Paul said clearly that Christians’ enemies are not flesh and blood. They are spiritual. When evangelical Christians forget or do not know this vital truth, we cannot pray effectively as we focus on the wrong perspective.
As an ordinary watchman, I do not know how to explain to the churches which continue to walk not in the Spirit for that matter. Being spiritual is not an issue in societies used to encountering the spiritual realm as a reality and norm.
Being spiritual places us on the right level with right focus and perspective. King David won his battles because he sought spiritual help. He asked God. God answered him and gave him the right strategies. So did Moses, Joshua, Deborah, Samuel and all who engaged in war. They asked God. (They did not ask the evil spirits or those with the evil spirits.)
Being spiritual does not mean we leave this world or become indifferent. Look at King David, Moses, Joshua, Deborah, Samuel etc. They excelled in both civil and military governmental responsibilities, and continued to live in prosperity and success. Deborah was a housewife and a mother. But she was also a military strategist, counselor, commander and judge with spiritual insight. Christian spirituality wins war. The key is the Holy Spirit. (Zechariah 4:6)
Colossians 3:10-15 New Living Translation (NLT)
10 Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. 11 In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.
12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
Galatians 3:26-28 New Living Translation (NLT)
26 For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. 28 There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Finally, I add a little poem here from which I quoted the title of this blog.
No man is an island,
Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thine own
Or of thine friend’s were.
Each man’s death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.
(John Donne)
who are the sunset harvest workers? God is calling
sunset harvest workerThis post continues with the previous two on the urgent and intense call to work on the sunset harvest field. Who are the qualified workers? When I ponder this question I become amazed at the large number of available workers who are qualified and willing. Yes, you will be amazed too. In the following I am using one particular task-related area of ministry as an illustration to show how you may become one of the called workers.
In my list of qualifications you would have read how much you already have. I am talking to an ordinary man and woman who are not totally cut off from modern civilization. A user of mobile phone. An ordinary Christian who has been attending church regularly and receiving Bible teaching as part of their normal lives. A middle age adult who is pondering his or her own retirement life and asking the Lord for direction. A believer of Jesus who is touched by His love and is willing to demonstrate the same to others (either pre-believers/seekers or new believers).
Knowing how to use a mobile phone to access the vast storehouse of Christian resources online is now universal among believers in the developed nations. In the developing nations the Christians are catching up on this but are somewhat hindered by language barrier. The resources need to be first translated into their respective national language to be accessible and understood by the nationals. Many still do not know or use the English language fluently. Many find the accent and the speed of English speaking difficult to follow or grasp.
If you already have the knowledge of how to use a mobile phone to access the internet, and knowledge of the Bible and the love of God has compelled you, and you want to demonstrate God’s love to your neighbor, all you have to do is to learn the foreign language you are led in your spirit to know and minister in. Learn enough to communicate verbally about God and the Bible. Learn mobile phone terminologies. Practice on your own mobile phone, switching to the foreign language and use it for all functions! Have the foreign language Christian audio Bible and multimedia Christian resources installed. When you are comfortable being a user, you are all set.
The next step is to pray and ask the Lord to bring you to such a neighbor, probably an elderly person sitting in a corner near the door in the worship hall, an old person sitting in the park bench, or anywhere in a public area- mobile phone service center, internet provider center, retail outlet, shopping mall, public library, place where the older people are left for daycare- usually an older person who is alone and looks alone. The Lord will let you know. In my most recent case, twice (in separate occasions and separate places) an elderly person (a woman and a man respectively) approached me to help teach them to use the mobile phone for internet. Then they shared about their seeker’s life or new Christian life. They asked questions about the practical aspects of the Bible. They showed their hunger for God and the abundant life Jesus has promised to His flock/sheep. They showed their longing for friendship in fellowship with other Christians. They showed their conviction and faith in this God whom they believed is the true God. They gave their own conversion testimonies eagerly. They voiced what they expected from church.
You would not be mistaken. You can see how their eyes sparkle at the mention of the name of Jesus. You can see hope rising in them. Your reward: right in front of you. You see the love of God rising in you and in that person who receives it too. Just be available and you shall be rewarded in ways beyond you can ever think of or imagine.
Me too. After my sharing with the new Christian man under the hot sun for a few hours I went home. I felt the heat and discomfort. So I drank lots of water, had a shower, and rested. The next day I woke to find that a long standing physical issue I had vanished totally. I was amazed. But our God is the amazing and awesome God. The verse that I gave to that brother from Matthew 6:33 became mine too! I was healed while I shared healing with the brother in need.
1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
family of God
Often I see Christians forgetting that their family members are their brothers and sisters in Christ. But they are God’s children and co-heirs with Jesus who is sitting at the right hand of the Father in heaven, interceding for Christians. When we next deal with our family members let us look up and see Jesus watching and interceding for that person, no matter how unlovable he or she may appear to you. She or he is not your enemy. The enemy is outside. You need to take care of your household first according to the Bible. I see open contempt and rude manners which Jesus and God see too. When I open the Bible this morning I read this:
“By the humility and gentleness of Christ, I appeal to you——…for though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. (2 Corinthians 10:3-6)
Remember: even Jesus who is Christ, sitting at the right hand of God now is humble and gentle. The Bible says, “As He is, so we are in this world.” Are we? If we cannot be humble and gentle to one another as Jesus is to us, how can we claim to own all His riches and wealth and prosperity and success?
Who are your brothers and sisters in Christ? Parents, siblings, uncles, aunts, cousins.
[ Obedience by Faith ] If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.
1 John 4:20-21 NKJV
When family members cannot be united as one just as God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are One, the enemy can come in to steal, kill, and destroy. Why? Because where strife is there are all kinds of evil. Jesus has warned against the division that will cause downfall:
John 17:22  (NKJV) 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
James 4:1-3 (NKJV) Pride Promotes Strife
Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet[a] you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
  1. James 4:2 NU-Text and M-Text omit Yet.
Romans 13:12-14 (NKJV)
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
2015 in blogging (a summary)
Jesus kingI want to thank WordPress for the opportunity to blog here. When I first decided to move from my former site in 2009 I chose WordPress because the name “Word” attracted me. The following information is from the WordPress. These are the posts that received the most views in 2015. You may read the year’s most-viewed posts by clicking the following links:
This blog was viewed about 21,000 times in 2015. Visitors are from 162 countries out of the total 224 countries in the world. Visitors come from all continents and many islands. There are now 1232 posts in this blog, 216,399 views from 49,810 visitors. The use of English language is common round the world even to the most remote corner.
Why do I blog? I believe the main reason is based on this Bible verse from Jeremiah 20:9 which I received yesterday when I prayed, as follows:
“His word in my heart is like a fire”.
I pray that this New Year of 2016 will see more of the Lord’s people being built up spiritually and strong in the inner man. These few days are a time for fasting and praying to seek clarity in the direction ahead. The keyword I have received so far is “HARVEST’. A YEAR OF HARVEST.
What does God care most for mankind? Salvation of all men and none is to be left-behind. How do we align ourselves with this goal of the Kingdom of God being activated on earth as it is in heaven? We have the Bible and the Holy Spirit. This twin-key will continue be my writing focus in 2016. I pray the Spirit of wisdom and revelation for every Christian who reads this blog. Have a year of “harvest” for the King in your own “field”.
Day Six: God says, “Love is reconciliation.”
consuming-fireLove burns. There are two types of burning. Healing and deliverance for the humble believers. Burning like straw into ashes for the rest. The ultimate purpose of love is reconciliation between loved ones in the covenant.
Day Six: Malachi 4 New Living Translation (NLT)
The Coming Day of Judgment
4 [a]The LORD of Heaven’s Armies says, “The day of judgment is coming, burning like a furnace. On that day the arrogant and the wicked will be burned up like straw. They will be consumed—roots, branches, and all.
2 “But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings.[b] And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture. 3 On the day when I act, you will tread upon the wicked as if they were dust under your feet,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.
4 “Remember to obey the Law of Moses, my servant—all the decrees and regulations that I gave him on Mount Sinai[c] for all Israel.
5 “Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the LORD arrives. 6 His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise I will come and strike the land with a curse.”
4:1 Verses 4:1-6 are numbered 3:19-24 in Hebrew text.
4:2 Or the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings.
4:4 Hebrew Horeb, another name for Sinai.
Malachi 4 Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB)
(3:19) For, hinei, HaYom bah (the day cometh), that shall burn as an oven; and kol zedim (all the proud), yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble; and HaYom that cometh shall burn them up, saith Hashem Tzva’os, that it shall leave them neither shoresh (root) nor anaf (branch).
(3:20) But unto you that fear My name shall the Shemesh Tzedakah (sun of righteousness) arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
(3:21) And ye shall trample down the resha’im; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in HaYom that I shall do this, saith Hashem Tzva’os.
(3:22) Remember ye the Torat Moshe Avdi, which I commanded unto him in Chorev for kol Yisroel, with the chukkim (statutes) and mishpatim (judgments).
(3:23) Hinei, I will send you Eliyahu HaNavi before the coming of the great and dreadful Yom Hashem;
(3:24) And he shall turn the lev-avot to the banim, and the lev-banim to their avot, lest I come and strike the earth with cherem.
