And Ezra came to Jerusalem in the fifth month

Ezra 7:789I originally posted this prophetic blog on July 28th 2016. All about an anointed teacher who went to see the most powerful anointed king and asked for impossible favor!

“And Ezra came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which was in the seventh year of the king. On the first day of the first month he began his journey from Babylon, and on the first day of the fifth month he came to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him. For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel.”
(passage from: Ezra 7:8-10)

AAAJ watchman

amos-plumb-lineThere is this Christian teacher who is fully qualified in knowing and teaching the Bible and is filled with the Holy Spirit. At the right time he goes to see the President of the country and the President respects, honors and favors him. The President gives him everything he asks for regarding the matter of following God’s Law to govern the people. The reason? The President believes that by pleasing God he and his family will be blessed instead of cursed. The President is afraid of God’s wrath against “the realm of the President and his sons”.

The President gives this Christian man full authority to access the federal and state treasuries for all the resources he needs for the church, and blanket executive power to execute the following based on Biblical principles in the country selected by God for God’s people:

1.Conduct inquiries into all aspects of lives in…

Watchman’s notes on fasting, prophetess, first evangelist

Luke 2:37Why do people fast? More and more Christians are fasting on and off for various reasons. I have learned and practiced fasting regularly for a decade since I attended meetings that practiced this more consistently. Here are some personal notes at random sequence for young visitors who read this blog.
1. fasting is not a ritual or legalistic requirement.
2. Jesus and His disciples fasted regularly.
3. the early churches fasted regularly.
4. the Bible records many incidents of fasting.
5. fasting is a common practice in the days of the Old Testament and New Testament.
6. fasting has many ways.
7. not one way of fasting is a must for everyone.
8. you do need a goal.
9. be open.
10. the act of fasting does not gain you favor from God.
11. my goal: gain sensitivity toward God and spiritual matters.
12. my experience: the more I practice this discipline to subdue my body and mind, the more I am sensitized to the reality of God’s spiritual realm and the things of God just as stated in the Bible.
13. my tested way: fast in a combination of ways, including daily only one light meal with more vegetables and less/no meat. It means: one light breakfast of two slices of bread (with or without butter, jam and cheese), no lunch, one early dinner of rice/bread/potato/sweet potato with vegetables, with/without one egg, no supper. Drink water. One cup of morning Tea/coffee is optional.
14. varying fast period: 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, 21 days and so on. It can become a lifestyle too.
15. Always be led by the Holy Spirit.
16. Activities: Do as normal days. Read the Bible, pray (talk to God and listen to Him talking to me), meditate on the matters of God and focus on God. I listen to audio Bible and copy down verses too.
17. Physical exercises: I do as my normal days, usually leisurely and without stress. Do not go all out to do strenuous tasks.
18. Entertainment: I do not do these anyway except walking the dog in the park.
19. Social networking: Minimum unless it is your family calling.
20. Summary: Focus on my goal to become more and more sensitive to God.
21. Expected results: To know God intimately, hear Him clearly, act on His guidance accurately in all aspects of my life -live the truly abundant life Jesus has promised and given to every believer!

A classic example of a significant and impactful fast: Anna was significant because of her single-mindedness on and sensitivity to God. Here are her characteristics singled out in the Bible record:
1. a prophetess/watchman 2. longevity. 3. woman. 4. married for 7 years. 5. became a widow for 84 years. 6. stayed always in God’s presence. 7. worshiping day and night. 8. God considered her fastings and prayers worship to Him. 9. She has a name and a recorded lineage. 10. She knew the Old Testament and prophecies written about Jesus. 11. She had faith in God and believed in the words of God. 12. Accurate spiritual discernment: she identified the child Jesus as the Messiah she had been waiting for all these years. 13. She became the first witness and evangelist for Jesus!

Luke 2:37 MSG
Anna the prophetess was also there, a daughter of Phanuel from the tribe of Asher. She was by now a very old woman. She had been married seven years and a widow for eighty-four. She never left the Temple area, worshiping night and day with her fastings and prayers. At the very time Simeon was praying, she showed up, broke into an anthem of praise to God, and talked about the child to all who were waiting expectantly for the freeing of Jerusalem.

A quote about Lent fasting: “Abstinence and fasting is a discipline that teaches us to gain control, because so often the source of our sin is a loss of control. By gaining control of something so simple as food, we can move to gain control of those things that really distancing us from God. So together with abstinence and fasting, you are encouraged to think about what it is that is blocking your way to Christ. If you only abstain and fast in Lent without a greater purpose of distancing yourself from a sin that is controlling your life, then fasting and abstinence will be nothing more than a diet. Lent is a time to pick your medicine, remove the obstacles and encounter Christ this Lent.”

Lent 2018 began on
Wednesday, 14 February
and ends on
Thursday, 29 March
What is Lent?
Lent is a 40-day Christian religious period that comes before Easter. Although it technically lasts for 46 days, Western Churches do not count the Sundays during the period.
It is a time of solemnity and fasting during which many people abstain from festivities and certain foods such as chocolate and fast food.
Why do people fast for Lent and why does it last 40 days?
The reason why people fast for Lent and abstain from festivities is because Lent is meant to be a reflection on, and reenactment of, Jesus’s suffering during the 40 days he spent in the desert being tempted by Satan.

Daily Word: Matthew 2017 the last and the first

Matthew 20:16Jesus told the parable to show how jealousy and greed cannot be concealed and can ruin a person. His adversaries are driven by greed and are insanely jealous of Him. They (the religious and political leaders) have been there a long time. They have institutionalized themselves as the only authoritative governing voice for the nation (social, cultural, education, economic, religious and political). Jesus is not one of them. So how dare He now take the lead in all fields of the nation, with countless more followers from the grassroots than them (over their whole lifetime) in a mere short three years?

While Jesus is following God’s will, doing all the good deeds feeding the poor, genuinely caring loving those upon whom the society looks down, healing the sick, setting the captives/oppressed free, his adversaries are plotting to kill him.

Today we read what happened to Jesus. Because Jesus said that the same will happen to His followers (disciples). Matthew recorded many teachings of Jesus which depicted everyday lives. They are timeless. Human heart and nature have not changed. Matthew 20:1-17 tells us the scene in the marketplace (employment agency) on one ordinary day. An employer (God) employs workers at different intervals and pays each one the same wage he has committed. But those who think that they deserve more just because they have been in employment longer become angry and indignant. They try to incite a revolt against the employer. But the employer tells them off. He is honoring his part of the employment agreement. But these protestors/revolters are not. They have forgotten or conveniently ignored the agreement. Why?

Jesus gave the reason why in His life.

Fruitfulness: And their fruit shall be for food and their leaves for healing.

Ezekiel 47:12After writing my previous blog on renewal of my prayer and worship life by emulating those missionaries who focus on staying and soaking in the presence of the Lord, I experienced some significant (to me) changes. Here is what happened today.

I had to accompany some guests to a shopping mall for a birthday teen to buy her present. Having waited a long time (like two hours) in some clothes shops, I suggested we walk back to the first one she visited. While waiting on a bench in front of a clothes shop, I noticed a tiny girl in a wheel chair. She seemed tired and making some sounds. Her dad sat next to me. The passers by tried looking in other directions so as not to make his situation more difficult. But I was led in my spirit to start a conversation with him. He told me she is his second daughter, fifteen years old. She has the body and stature of a very young child. He told me she was operated three times, and had chemotherapy for brain tumor at three years old. The treatment affected her bone marrow and stunted her growth. She is now on hormone treatment to help her growth. He told me his three children’s names and their meanings (sun, star, and light). The girl is named after a star. I told him I am a Christian who believes that our God heals, and asked him whether he believes in divine healing and miracles. He said yes. He said he is open to all religions and agreed that I could pray for her. So I shared with him about Jesus and that Jesus saves and heals. Then I prayed for his second daughter. She voluntarily stretched her hands to me and held my hands as I spoke to her, prayed and blessed her.

I told her she has a beautiful name and I thanked our God for creating beautiful things like the sun, the stars and light. She brightened up and smiled. By faith I spoke to the body to be restored to God’s original beautiful creation and design.

After that the dad told me he believes this is not a chance meeting. He is not local. He drove from another town with his family today to visit the eldest daughter who studies in a college here. He was waiting for his wife and eldest daughter who were also shopping in the same shop my guests were shopping. The newly renovated and expanded mall is huge and there are many beautiful branded clothes shops. He said he believed God had arranged this meeting. I too believe the same. After coming out of two other more trendy shops for youngsters with empty hands, I suggested to the teen to return to this particular shop as its name came to my mind for no reason. While the birthday girl and her entourage were giving this more classic shop another try I saw this man and his daughter sitting next to me. This is not a chance meeting. I agree.

This incident confirms to me that going to the secret place of the Father in heaven through prayer and worship opens a new realm of spiritual reality on earth. Where I currently reside, people do not normally go around talking to strangers, volunteering to pray for healing. But this watchman has been convicted to do something that makes a difference, regardless of how the gathering crowd may view or comment. What matters is that the Lord has answered prayers. The prayer of the watchman to be led deeper into the Holy Spirit river of healing and wonders, and the cry of a father to help his daughter. He has waited for twelve years for a breakthrough. His waiting has not been in vain. She can walk, but she needs further strengthening, he said. She also attends a normal school. I pray he and his child will continue to walk by faith, love, and hope.

Here is the assurance from our Lord Jesus:
Mark 5:36, 40-42 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
36 [a]Overhearing but ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear; only keep on believing.
40 And they (others) laughed and [a]jeered at Him. But He put them all out, and, taking the child’s father and mother and those who were with Him, He went in where the little girl was lying.
41 Gripping her [firmly] by the hand, He said to her, Talitha cumi—which translated is, Little girl, I say to you, arise [[b]from the sleep of death]!
42 And instantly the girl got up and started walking around—for she was twelve years old. And they were utterly astonished and overcome with amazement.

Mark 5:36 Some manuscripts so read.
Mark 5:40 G. Abbott-Smith, Manual Greek Lexicon.
Mark 5:41 Joseph Thayer, A Greek-English Lexicon.

Hebrews 7:25 AMPC
Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them.

Ezekiel 47 (Quoted in parts)
8 Then he said to me, These waters pour out toward the eastern region and go down into the Arabah (the Jordan Valley) and on into the Dead Sea. And when they shall enter into the sea [the sea of putrid waters], the waters shall be healed and made fresh.
9 And wherever the double river shall go, every living creature which swarms shall live. And there shall be a very great number of fish, because these waters go there that [the waters of the sea] may be healed and made fresh; and everything shall live wherever the river goes.
12 And on the banks of the river on both its sides, there shall grow all kinds of trees for food; their leaf shall not fade nor shall their fruit fail [to meet the demand]. Each tree shall bring forth new fruit every month, [these supernatural qualities being] because their waters came from out of the sanctuary. And their fruit shall be for food and their leaves for healing.

The Holy Spirit cries out, “What I do have I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!”

Be set free from the stall of pre-existing mind set in your finances and investment.
