an ordinary man’s Holy Communion prayer

I have been partaking the Holy Communion once a day for over ten years. These are the words I usually say when I partake: on the night Jesus was betrayed He took bread, gave thanks, broke it, and gave to His disciples, saying, take, eat, this is my body which is given for you, do this in remembrance of Me. After supper Jesus took the cup and said, this is my blood of the New Covenant, which is shed for many, for the remission of sin, do this in remembrance of me. Thank you Jesus for by your stripes, we were healed, so and so was healed (fill the name in), thank you Father for giving me/us your Son Jesus’ perfect healthy divine body in exchange of my/our bodies, and took away all our sicknesses and pain and all symptoms and their root causes. Thank you for the blood covenant through your Son that no one can take away. You are our dwelling. No evil can come upon us, nor any plagues or viruses including COVID-19 and or its variants can come near us/our dwelling. We carry you as our dwelling everywhere we go, going out and coming in. You are our shield and our wall of fire. Thank You Abba Father for being so good to us!

I will pray in accordance with the Holy Spirit’s instructions and the inspired words of the Bible. Many times I use the psalms, gospels, the words of Jesus, the letters of the apostles, and the many promises of the Bible to enhance my confidence and affirmation. I also pray in tongues. Don’t limit God! Don’t resist God!

In fact, our focus must be on the Lord Jesus, everything He has done. He is already sitting at the right hand of the Almighty God. He is interceding for us. His blood and his body are the complete and perfect sacrifice that have been offered. It’s done once and for all. He was hung on the cross and He said, “It is finished!” (A done deal).

Do you have enough faith? More than enough. Because the Holy Spirit told us to declare, as in Galatians 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Here is the Good News. Zechariah 9:9-17 – the prophecy of the coming King.

Zion’s Coming King

Rejoice, O people of Zion![d]
Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem!
Look, your king is coming to you.
    He is righteous and victorious,[e]
yet he is humble, riding on a donkey—
    riding on a donkey’s colt.
10 I will remove the battle chariots from Israel[f]
    and the warhorses from Jerusalem.
I will destroy all the weapons used in battle,
and your king will bring peace to the nations.
His realm will stretch from sea to sea
and from the Euphrates River[g] to the ends of the earth.[h]
11 Because of the covenant I made with you,
    sealed with blood,
I will free your prisoners
from death in a waterless dungeon.
12 Come back to the place of safety,
all you prisoners who still have hope!
I promise this very day
that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles.
13 Judah is my bow,
    and Israel is my arrow.
Jerusalem[i] is my sword,
and like a warrior, I will brandish it against the Greeks.[j]

14 The Lord will appear above his people;
his arrows will fly like lightning!
The Sovereign Lord will sound the ram’s horn
and attack like a whirlwind from the southern desert.
15 The Lord of Heaven’s Armies will protect his people,
and they will defeat their enemies by hurling great stones.
They will shout in battle as though drunk with wine.
They will be filled with blood like a bowl,
drenched with blood like the corners of the altar.
16 On that day the Lord their God will rescue his people,
just as a shepherd rescues his sheep.
They will sparkle in his land
    like jewels in a crown.
17 How wonderful and beautiful they will be!
The young men will thrive on abundant grain,
and the young women will flourish on new wine.
