True prophets: Revelation one

Apostle John was one of the prophets who saw many visions. In fact he saw the resurrected Jesus who ascended to heaven and now sits at the honored place of the right hand of God. He was shown by Jesus a comprehensive plan of God for the end times, the end of this world, and also the world to come. He faithfully reported everything he saw. This is his report of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. We read chapter one below and the rest of the book ourselves. A good way to end this year of 2014.

Revelation 1 New Living Translation (NLT)

This is a revelation from[a] Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants the events that must soon[b] take place. He sent an angel to present this revelation to his servant John, who faithfully reported everything he saw. This is his report of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near.

John’s Greeting to the Seven Churches

This letter is from John to the seven churches in the province of Asia.[c]

Grace and peace to you from the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come; from the sevenfold Spirit[d] before his throne; and from Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world.

All glory to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us. He has made us a Kingdom of priests for God his Father. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.

Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven.
    And everyone will see him—
    even those who pierced him.
And all the nations of the world
    will mourn for him.
Yes! Amen!

“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,”[e] says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”

Vision of the Son of Man

I, John, am your brother and your partner in suffering and in God’s Kingdom and in the patient endurance to which Jesus calls us. I was exiled to the island of Patmos for preaching the word of God and for my testimony about Jesus. 10 It was the Lord’s Day, and I was worshiping in the Spirit.[f] Suddenly, I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet blast. 11 It said, “Write in a book[g] everything you see, and send it to the seven churches in the cities of Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”

12 When I turned to see who was speaking to me, I saw seven gold lampstands. 13 And standing in the middle of the lampstands was someone like the Son of Man.[h] He was wearing a long robe with a gold sash across his chest. 14 His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow. And his eyes were like flames of fire. 15 His feet were like polished bronze refined in a furnace, and his voice thundered like mighty ocean waves. 16 He held seven stars in his right hand, and a sharp two-edged sword came from his mouth. And his face was like the sun in all its brilliance.

17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. 18 I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.[i]

19 “Write down what you have seen—both the things that are now happening and the things that will happen.[j] 20 This is the meaning of the mystery of the seven stars you saw in my right hand and the seven gold lampstands: The seven stars are the angels[k] of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

True prophets: God speaks through king David

King David was a poet prophet, a king, a courageous and brilliant military man. But David was also a musician and a composer.  He wrote poetry (psalms) that are usually sung. When we read his psalms we can find that he prophesied about the Messiah and many prophecies through David and others (related confirmations) have already come true, in Jesus Christ (Messiah): Psalm 22:16-18; Psalm 2:7-9; Acts 13:33; Psalm 2:9; Revelation 2:27; Hebrews 2:8; Psalm 16:10; Acts 2:27; Psalm 22:16-18; John 19:25; Psalm 22:1; Psalm 41:9; John 13:18; Psalm 69:9; John 2:15-17; Psalm 69:21; Matthew 27:48; Psalm 110:1; Matthew 22:44; Psalm 110:4;  Hebrews 7:17; Psalm 118:22; Matthew 21:42; Psalm 118:26; Matthew 21:9;

Psalm 110 New King James Version (NKJV)

Announcement of the Messiah’s Reign

A Psalm of David.

110 The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion.
Rule in the midst of Your enemies!

Your people shall be volunteers
In the day of Your power;
In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning,
You have the dew of Your youth.
The Lord has sworn
And will not relent,
“You are a priest forever
According to the order of Melchizedek.”

The Lord is at Your right hand;
He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath.
He shall judge among the nations,
He shall fill the places with dead bodies,
He shall execute the heads of many countries.
He shall drink of the brook by the wayside;
Therefore He shall lift up the head.

Isaiah 60 God gathers His children

Garcia Studio, Inc. 933 Fielder Avenue NW Atlanta, GA 30318 404-892-2334

Whilst the world is preparing to celebrate popular commercialized pagan festival, today we read Isaiah 60, and listen to the marching sound of the Lord’s heavenly armies, just as the Lord has commanded King David to do, listening to the marching sound above the mulberry trees. (2 Samuel 5:23-24)

“And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly. For then the Lord will go out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.”

Isaiah 60 is all about this future joyous time for God’s ingathering of His children scattered all over the world, both Jews and Gentiles. When is the God-ordained celebration day for Christians towards the year end?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ …On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the Festival of Sukkot, seven days for the L-RD. -Leviticus 23:34 Tabernacles is also called ‘the season of our joy’, the ‘Feast of Ingathering’ (Ex. 23:16), the ‘Feast of YHWH’ (Lev. 23:39) or ‘the Feast’ (1 Kings 8:2). But the Feast really anticipates the time of God’s harvest, when the remnant of Israel and the residue of the nations are reconciled and gathered to Him – the harvest of souls – hence ‘the Feast of YHWH’.
The fulfilment of Tabernacles is linked to the work of Messiah, ‘the Branch of the LORD’. Most importantly, Messiah would be the dawning of THE GREAT LIGHT: Jesus Christ is the Light. (John 1:9; 3:19-21; 8:12; 9:5)
Isaiah 4:2-6 ‘In that day the Branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, Isaiah 9:1-7 ‘… in the future God will honor Galilee of the Gentiles..The people walking in darkness have seen a great light…For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace…The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.’
Acts 3:19-21 “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began”
God’s plan through Jesus the Redeemer for mankind involves restoration. The Feast of Tabernacles symbolizes the restoration process. What did Jesus say about this? What will bring the refreshing? Again, we read of the coming of the Holy Spirit and the work of the Holy Spirit.
In John 7 Jesus announces the promise and the work of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit’s out pouring on the Pentecost Day on the disciples augurs the beginning of a new era. Many miraculous signs have accompanied the preaching of the Gospel, healing and transforming lives, just as Jesus has promised before He went back to heaven (Mark 16:15-29)
John 7   Now the Jews’ Feast of Tabernacles was at hand. 37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing[g] in Him would receive; for the Holy[h]Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
~~~~~~Isaiah 60 (NKJV) Arise, shine; For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the Lord will arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising. “Lift up your eyes all around, and see:
They all gather together, they come to you;
Your sons shall come from afar,
And your daughters shall be nursed at your side.
Then you shall see and become radiant,
And your heart shall swell with joy;
Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you,
The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.
The multitude of camels shall cover your land,
The dromedaries of Midian and Ephah;
All those from Sheba shall come;
They shall bring gold and incense,
And they shall proclaim the praises of the Lord.
All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you,
The rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you;
They shall ascend with acceptance on My altar,
And I will glorify the house of My glory. “Who are these who fly like a cloud,
And like doves to their roosts?
Surely the coastlands shall wait for Me;
And the ships of Tarshish will come first,
To bring your sons from afar,
Their silver and their gold with them,
To the name of the Lord your God, And to the Holy One of Israel,
Because He has glorified you. 10 “The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls,
And their kings shall minister to you;
For in My wrath I struck you,
But in My favor I have had mercy on you.
11 Therefore your gates shall be open continually;
They shall not be shut day or night,
That men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles,
And their kings in procession.
12 For the nation and kingdom which will not serve you shall perish,
And those nations shall be utterly ruined.  13 “The glory of Lebanon shall come to you,
The cypress, the pine, and the box tree together,
To beautify the place of My sanctuary;
And I will make the place of My feet glorious.
14 Also the sons of those who afflicted you
Shall come bowing to you,
And all those who despised you shall fall prostrate at the soles of your feet;
And they shall call you The City of the Lord,
Zion of the Holy One of Israel. 15 “Whereas you have been forsaken and hated,
So that no one went through you,
I will make you an eternal excellence,
A joy of many generations.
16 You shall drink the milk of the Gentiles,
And milk the breast of kings;
You shall know that I, the Lord, am your Savior
And your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. 17 “Instead of bronze I will bring gold,
Instead of iron I will bring silver,
Instead of wood, bronze,
And instead of stones, iron.
I will also make your officers peace,
And your magistrates righteousness.
18 Violence shall no longer be heard in your land,
Neither wasting nor destruction within your borders;
But you shall call your walls Salvation,
And your gates Praise. God the Glory of His People 19 “The sun shall no longer be your light by day,
Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you;
But the Lord will be to you an everlasting light,
And your God your glory.
20 Your sun shall no longer go down,
Nor shall your moon withdraw itself;
For the Lord will be your everlasting light,
And the days of your mourning shall be ended.
21 Also your people shall all be righteous; They shall inherit the land forever, The branch of My planting, The work of My hands, That I may be glorified.
22 A little one shall become a thousand,
And a small one a strong nation.
I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.”

random news 2013 year of extreme weather in review

7:30pm UK, Tuesday 24 December 2013 Residents faced Christmas without power and travellers remained stuck at airports and stations after storms caused havoc across much of Britain.

The death toll from the violent weather rose to five and people heading home for the holiday had to battle with difficult conditions on roads and railways.

Some of the worst chaos was at Gatwick airport in West Sussex where a power outage at North Terminal led to cancellations and delays.

Police officers stepped in to calm passengers as they demanded to know more information about their plans.

Published: December 23, 2013 The weekend before Christmas proved nightmarish for many travelers and surreal for holiday shoppers, as Winter Storm Gemini tied up air travel and record warmth forced East Coast residents to hang up their coats and don short sleeves instead.

Now, this freakish weather is being etched into the record books. Let’s step through some of the highlights, starting with the record warmth.

2013 in review: a year of increasing extreme weather events

John Vidal looks back at a year of record heatwaves, floods,  rainstorms and cyclones
2013 was the seventh warmest year on record and saw one of the strongest cyclones, some of the longest heatwaves and the most topsy-turvy weather experienced in decades.
Extreme weather in 2013 : An iceberg from a glacier in northern SvalbardExtreme Weather in 2013 : Typhoon Haiyan Seen Approaching The Philippines
Heat extremes dominated the year. The last four months of 2012 were abnormally hot in Australia but January 2013 was the hottest month ever measured on the continent,…Portugal, China, Hungary, Finland, and Britain, all recorded heatwaves, and the temperature in Death Valley, California hit 129.2F (54.0C), the hottest temperature ever recorded on Earth during June. Meanwhile, Shanghai had 24 days with temperatures at or above 35C in July and recorded 40.6C, the highest ever temperature recorded in 140 years of records in the city…Europe, overall, was warmer than usual but the heat turned quickly to massive rainstorms…Less high-profile were massive floods in Sudan, where more than 250,000 people were forced from their homes in August. The region around the capital, Khartoum, was particularly badly hit, with at least 15,000 homes destroyed and thousands of others damaged…
It was a very different story in the western-north Pacific however, where 30 major storms had been recorded by early November.  Thirteen of them were typhoon-strength, the biggest by some way being typhoon Haiyan, possibly the most powerful tropical cyclone to make landfall in recorded history. Haiyan smashed into the southern Phillippines, killing 6,000 people and wreaking massive damage…read the full article at the following link:

Ice storm forces rewrite of Top Weather Stories list

 By Tom Spears, OTTAWA CITIZEN December 23, 2013OTTAWA — David Phillips knew he was tempting fate when he announced the Top 10 Weather Stories of 2013 with 12 days left in December.

Would the weather let him off the hook by not throwing anything new at him?

“Nature doesn’t wait, doesn’t hold its breath,” he concluded Monday.

Sure enough, the ice storm that covered Toronto and much of southern Ontario is forcing him to rewrite his list. He said Monday the storm belongs at the No. 3 spot on the annual list.

The 5 top U.S. weather stories of 2013

  • By Dennis Mersereau December 23 at 11:40 am

In the United States, the major weather stories of 2013 are somewhat contradictory. One the one hand, several horrible weather events occurred, from violent tornadoes in Oklahoma to record wildfires in the West to “biblical flooding” in Colorado. But the year also brought the fewest tornadoes in recent memory and a largely absent Atlantic hurricane season.

Overall, 2013 is likely to finish with 8 billion dollar weather disasters in the U.S., down from 11 in 2012 and 13 in 2011 but up from the 4 in 2010 and 6 in 2009.

End times church Countdown: Christmas prophecy for country and a present for your family

The watchman wrote a blog last Christmas all about dreams and visions he had for his family. This year he wondered what he would encounter in his spirit. So he waited.

____________PROPHECY ONE: a stern warning to nation

On this eve of Christmas he rose as usual and started interceding for another matters. He asked about the prophecy of another senior intercessor and whether his country will be spared just as she has prophecied. He was shown in his spirit the name of one Book, “Nahum“. He was not sure where that Book was located, but when he opened the Bible, the Bible opened on the page, Nahum, Chapter one. so he read the whole Book. It was a judgment on Nineveh, a very successful and well developed capital city at that time.

The conclusion of this Book for his country is frightening: Nahum chapter 3  “15 But the fire will devour you; the sword will cut you down.
   The enemy will consume you like locusts,
      devouring everything they see.
   There will be no escape,
      even if you multiply like swarming locusts.
 16 Your merchants have multiplied until they outnumber the stars. But like a swarm of locusts, they strip the land and fly away.
 17 Your guards[d] and officials are also like swarming locusts that crowd together in the hedges on a cold day. But like locusts that fly away when the sun comes up, all of them will fly away and disappear.  18 Your shepherds are asleep, O Assyrian king; your princes lie dead in the dust.
   Your people are scattered across the mountains with no one to gather them together. 19 There is no healing for your wound; your injury is fatal. All who hear of your destruction will clap their hands for joy. Where can anyone be found who has not suffered from your continual cruelty?”

War defeat, economic failure, political/governmental corruptions/strives and downfalls, religious slumbering, sufferings and oppressions etc. are exactly what happens today. Indeed, the enemy in the spiritual realm consumes like locusts. The country is rich in resources and well developed, and yet, as described in Chapter 2:8-10 “Nineveh is like a leaking water reservoir! The people are slipping away.
   “Stop, stop!” someone shouts, but no one even looks back.
 9 Loot the silver! Plunder the gold! There’s no end to Nineveh’s treasures—its vast, uncounted wealth.
 10 Soon the city is plundered, empty, and ruined. Hearts melt and knees shake. The people stand aghast, their faces pale and trembling.”

_______________PROPHECY TWO:  a Christmas present for family

Enough of gloom. On the eve of Christmas after interceding for his country, he asked the Lord what the future of his own family be like. He was told to read one Book in the Bible particularly one particular chapter. This was the third time he was told that their future will be there. In fact he has forgotten all about this Book and the chapter he was asked to read the last time he asked the Lord on the same topic.

By now the watchman knows how the Holy Spirit talks to him. In fact he has been receiving messages this way. When he asked the Lord, he will receive answer instantly through the Word. Sometimes he forgot that he has asked before and he asked the same topic again and received exactly the same answer!

He does not celebrate the season and give physical gifts anymore. The harsh and sudden wintry cold he has seen in his earlier visions has indeed arrived all over the world! Even in the hottest zone the temperature dropped to below freezing point! Is there anywhere safe in this world to run to and hide? The Lord has answered that question for his family!

He will not reveal the place in this blog but he will let his family know. Are they special people? Not more special than any believing followers of the Lord Jesus Christ!

However, the watchman shares the clue as follows. He prays that all who are led by the Holy Spirit will know the answer.

How to do that? You need to read and believe every word in the Bible for a start! What other better way to herald in the New Year than to gather your whole family to exercising your faith, fast and pray and read through the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation? As you seek the Lord you will find. God is pleased with faith. (Heb.11:1-3, 6)
