The Day of the Lord is near!

The Day of the Lord is near!

The watchman traveled far recently. But he was not in Israel. However, the Lord woke the watchman one night (equivalent to Jerusalem date: Tue, 14 Aug 2012 at sunset time19:23 which was the start of 15th August). He was shown Ezekiel 24:2 (NKJV) Son of man, write down the name of the day, this very day—the king of Babylon started his siege against Jerusalem this very day.” He obeyed and wrote down the name of the day (date), this very day (the day of the week) and time in his journal. He was then asked to pray for Jerusalem using the Bible book of Micah.

(Note: his first record of the date and time was based on the local date and time where he was at that hour. But he was corrected by the Lord today). Today he came back to his own place. After he changed his recorded date, he was led to an internet site called, “The Messianic Times” to a page with this headline: Jerusalem-On-The-Line August 15, 2012: News Update August 15, 2012 JNN NEWS, “ISLAMIST TAKEOVER COMPLETE IN EGYPT”

After he duly took note he was led to re-read this blog on the “Day of the Lord”, which he now re-blog.

Future Jerusalem Will Be Blessed

1Again the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying,

2Thus says the LORD of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.

3Thus says the LORD; I have returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts, the holy mountain.

4Thus says the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand because of old age.

5And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.

6Thus says the LORD of hosts; If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, would it also be marvelous in my eyes? says the LORD of hosts.

7Thus says the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;

8And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.

9Thus says the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, you that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, who were there in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.

10For before these days there were no wages for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the enemy: for I set all men every one against his neighbor.

11But now I will not be unto the remnant of this people as in the former days, says the LORD of hosts.

12For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give its fruit, and the ground shall give its increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.

13And it shall come to pass, that as you were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and you shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.

14For thus says the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, says the LORD of hosts, and I relented not:

15So again have I thought in these days to do good unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear you not.

16These are the things that you shall do; Speak you every man the truth to his neighbor; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:

17And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbor; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, says the LORD.

18And the word of the LORD of hosts came unto me, saying,

19Thus says the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.

20Thus says the LORD of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:

21And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.

22Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.

23Thus says the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold, out of every language of the nations, even shall take hold of the robe of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

The Coming Peace and Prosperity of Zion

1 Then the word of the LORD of hosts came, saying, 2 “Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘I am exceedingly jealous for Zion, yes, with great wrath I am jealous for her.’ 3 “Thus says the LORD, ‘I will return to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the LORD of hosts will be called the Holy Mountain.’ 4 “Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘Old men and old women will again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each man with his staff in his hand because of age. 5 ‘And the streets of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing in its streets.’ 6 “Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘If it is too difficult in the sight of the remnant of this people in those days, will it also be too difficult in My sight?’ declares the LORD of hosts. 7 “Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘Behold, I am going to save My people from the land of the east and from the land of the west; 8 and I will bring them back and they will live in the midst of Jerusalem; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God in truth and righteousness.’
9 “Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘Let your hands be strong, you who are listening in these days to these words from the mouth of the prophets, those who spoke in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, to the end that the temple might be built. 10 ‘For before those days there was no wage for man or any wage for animal; and for him who went out or came in there was no peace because of his enemies, and I set all men one against another. 11 ‘But now I will not treat the remnant of this people as in the former days,’ declares the LORD of hosts. 12 ‘For there will be peace for the seed: the vine will yield its fruit, the land will yield its produce and the heavens will give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things. 13 ‘It will come about that just as you were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you that you may become a blessing. Do not fear; let your hands be strong.’
14 “For thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘Just as I purposed to do harm to you when your fathers provoked Me to wrath,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘and I have not relented, 15 so I have again purposed in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Do not fear! 16 ‘These are the things which you should do: speak the truth to one another; judge with truth and judgment for peace in your gates. 17 ‘Also let none of you devise evil in your heart against another, and do not love perjury; for all these are what I hate,’ declares the LORD.”
18 Then the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying, 19 “Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘The fast of the fourth, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh and the fast of the tenth months will become joy, gladness, and cheerful feasts for the house of Judah; so love truth and peace.’
20 “Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘It will yet be that peoples will come, even the inhabitants of many cities. 21 ‘The inhabitants of one will go to another, saying, “Let us go at once to entreat the favor of the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts; I will also go.” 22 ‘So many peoples and mighty nations will come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of the LORD.’ 23 “Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘In those days ten men from all the nations will grasp the garment of a Jew, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”’”

The watchman recommends the readers to be led by the Holy Spirit and search the word of the Lord. There are many good online Bible sites. Some are as follows:

The watchman still prefers to use good old traditional printed Bible. He can see at a glance where the passage is located, what comes before and after. He can remember the location and contexts of the Bible passages this way. The Lord (Holy Spirit) talks to him this way. Unless one is traveling extremely light and for a short period only, one should always carry a hard copy Bible and not rely on electronic gadget which cannot replace printed book.

End Times Prophets: The Holy Spirit conducted today’s Sunday School for the watchman

Early on Sunday morning, around 1:35am the watchman went to pick up someone returning from a Jesus Heal Rally. By the time he got home it was 2:30am and he could not sleep. So he decided to stay up and pray and seek the Lord’s guidance about the day’s class in the afternoon.

He was led to read Joshua 5:2-15 on the Lord’s instructions to Joshua to prepare to lead the Israelites second generation who grew up in the wilderness into the promised land. The preparation was in the following three steps:

  1. Joshua was asked to circumcise the entire male population, as a covenant reestablishment ceremony. The watchman was drawn to this verse after they have obeyed, “Then the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I have rolled away the shame of your slavery in Egypt.” (5:9) In the New Testament, Jesus came and took away the shame and bondage of His believers and led them (us) from the kingdom of darkness (Satan’s kingdom) into the kingdom of light (the kingdom of God). Prior to this privilege, one has to repent. The believers of Jesus have to repent first before they receive the kingdom citizenship. (The need and power of repentance has been written in the watchman’s previous blogs)
  2. The second step was celebrating Passover. The first Passover (Exodus 12:23) was carried out on their last night in bondage under the Egyptians. When the angel of death saw the blood of the lamb on the top and sides of the door frame of the Israelite homes, he would pass over their homes.  In the New Testament, Jesus had shed His blood on the cross for the remission of the sins of many, and He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. When He instituted the Holy Communion for His disciples, He pronounced this over the wine: “This is my blood for the new covenant, which is shed for many, for the remission of sins.”
  3. The third step was Joshua’s encounter with the Lord (Jesus), the Commander of the Lord’s Armies. Joshua immediately fell with his face to the ground in reverence and worshipped Him, waiting for the Lord’s instructions. For Christians this is the worship in truth and in Spirit.

The watchman was then led to read the famous Fall of Jericho in Chapter Six. He was asked by the Lord to read all the details of the Lord’s instructions requiring Joshua to lead his people to march round the fortified city of Jericho, and he noted the number of days and times they marched round, those (priests, armed men, and people) who marched, their order of marching, what they carried and did (e.g. the priests marching in the presence of the Lord, blowing the ram horns as they marched, with the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant followed behind, some armed men marched in front of the Ark and some behind). the people were required to shout on the seventh day, seventh round when they heard the long blast of horns and when Joshua commanded, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the town!” When Joshua and his people obeyed, indeed Jericho walls collapsed, and the Israelites charged straight into the town and captured it. (6:20) “They completely destroyed everything in it with their swords.” (6:21)

After reading this and praying for sometime he went to bed. When he woke he took Holy Communion and was led to read Peter’s account in Acts 11:9 “Do not call anything unclean if God has made it clean.” 11:17 “And since God gave these Gentiles the same gift He gave us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to stand in God’s way?” 11:18 “We can see that God has also given the Gentiles the privilege of repenting of their sins and receiving eternal life.” The verses prompted him to repent for himself and his family for not being sensitive to the Lord’s heart to save all. Jesus’ blood was shed for many for the forgiveness of sins.

When he reached the church an intercessor leader suddenly requested a sister to lead the congregation to repent. However, when the worship leader came in he did not know this and he went ahead and started the worship. He sang in the Spirit and then led one song. Before the Holy Communion he asked the watchman to pray the opening prayer. the watchman had earlier received in his spirit that the day’s worship is to reveal the Father’s heart. The sister who was supposed to lead the repentance prayer nudged him and whispered, “Repentance!” He obeyed and started with words of repentance and subsequent words just gushed out like never before. He heard amens. He remembered what he read earlier in Acts. He saw the Father’s heart unfolding His love for many, indeed, the lost multitudes out there, outside the walls of the churches, and the living dead in churches. He also prayed from Ephesians 4:3-5, using words like “one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one baptism, one God and Father”.

After the opening prayer, they had Holy Communion. The sister who interpreted the leader’s English words omitted important words like ‘Blood”, “Jesus”, ‘Cross”. The watchman had to interrupt and cried out the correct words which he believed were all crucial for the majority of the congregation who do not understand English to partake the Holy Communion correctly. He did not have time for decorum at that moment. There was an urgency in his spirit and he knew something important was going to happen.

When they resumed worship the leader led them to sing a song of marching. “We are marching in the light of God”. A number of the congregation were carrying big flags and most others carried small flags. One sister came and asked him whether they should march round and he said yes. So they started marching with their ram horns and flags, urging the rest of the congregation to join them. As the congregation sang and marched round, ram horns were being blown. Then the song leader led the song “Shout for joy, God’s people…for the Lord has given this land to you”. So the congregation marched, blew ram horns and shouted at the point when the song leader sang “Shout for Joy!”

Later, at the afternoon class, as the watchman shared with the participants how he was led to read Joshua chapters 5-6 early in the morning, he put all the pieces together and realized in amazement that the Lord had actually let him see the whole worship event through Joshua 5-6 about 7-8 hours before it happened. In fact the following worship sequence today was exactly as what was written in the two chapters!

  1. Repentance Prayer (the act of circumcision at Gilgal)
  2. Holy Communion the body and blood of Jesus (the taking of the Passover Lamb)
  3. Worship in Spirit and in Truth (Joshua’s Encounter with the Lord the Commander of the Lord’s Armies- and his worshipful prostrating himself before the Lord)
  4. Marching songs sung and actual marching procession with ram horns, flags and shouting by the congregation (Jericho march).

It was indeed awesome. In answer to his early morning prayer on how to conduct his class and what to teach today, the Lord has used the worship service to demonstrate to him how a class should be taught. First he was shown the Bible truth. Then he witnessed the practical application. He has to admit later that only the Holy Spirit could mobilize the leaders and the congregation to flow exactly according to the Word of God that morning!

For the first time since many months ago, there was a breakthrough in today’s afternoon class. In the sleepiest hours after lunch, the eyes of the participants were wide open and the participating and interactive learning was led by the Lord’s Spirit. Afterall, the walls in each individual’s heart had already been pulled down that morning during the march!

End Times Witnessing: vision of a gate for the remnant

The watchman saw a vision in a dream. In the dream he knew he was seeing a vision. It was a stand alone gate in the rain. There was no wall on both sides of the gate! He was told that this was related to his current Bible class on the last three history books and last three prophet books. He was leading the class to build a prophetic wall with cloth bricks and dividing them into groups named after the ten gates of Jerusalem.

He could not see any walls or fence next to the stand alone gate. The gate stood by itself in the rain. The rain was more like drizzle. It was a still 3-D scene.

The word that came to him today is the word “remnant”. Who are the remnants? He was told that the small number is not the issue. Did not the Lord Yeshua say, ‘where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them” ? The number of those attending the class and being equipped is given by the Lord and all the watchman has to focus on is to be faithful and obedient to the assignment at this point of time.

Just as the priests assigned by Ezra, he will give account for the weight and the quantity (as assigned) of the precious treasures set apart for God’s holy purposes, when he delivers them safely to Jerusalem temple of God.

In many ways he is just a transporter of the treasures of God. The remnants are the precious possessions of God. The teacher is God Himself. The watchman is just the vessel carrying the treasures in transit.

He now understands why he is going through this class in this place at this time. The recent reading of the Scripture (the whole Bible in its entity in one day) by a small group of faithfuls is further confirmation. He was asked to read the Psalms 73 to 150. The more he read, the more he woke to the revelation that he was being shown the survival of end times survival for the remnants.

For example, he was asked to continue to publish this proclamation, “Each day proclaim the good news that He saves. Publish His glorious deeds among the nations. Tell every one about the amazing things He does.” (Ps.96:3)

He learned the authority of God has over all nature and creatures: “that clouds are chariots and winds have wings that can be ridden upon. The winds are messengers and flames of fire are servants of God. Moon is made to mark the seasons and the sun knows when to set. (104:3-4,19) The earth is full of God’s creatures and they all depend on God to give them food. They panic when God turns away from them.” (104:24,27,29).

He was given one important key: “Search for the Lord and for His strength; continually seek Him.” (105:4)

The following example demonstrated how he can utilize unlimited warfare resources: Psa. 118: 10 Though hostile nations surrounded me, I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord. 11 Yes, they surrounded and attacked me, but I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord12 They swarmed around me like bees; they blazed against me like a crackling fire. But I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord.”

Psa.118: 15 Songs of joy and victory are sung in the camp of the godly. The strong right arm of the Lord has done glorious things! 16 The strong right arm of the Lord is raised in triumph. The strong right arm of the Lord has done glorious things!

There is however, one condition for such powerful protection (use of the authority of God and being helped by the right arm of God): he needs to enter the gate of the Lord, which leads to the presence of the Lord. (118:19-20) Yeshua says, “I am the gate. Those who come in through Me will be saved.” (John 10:9)

He was assured of this, “the wicked will not rule the land of the godly, for then the godly might be tempted to do wrong.” (Psa.125:3) Be godly and be assured of God’s protection of his land (his household, his possession, and even his country).

A further assurance is that where God has chosen to be dwelling place, the city will be blessed and be prosperous, the poor will be fed, priests will be clothed with godliness, and God’s servants will be faithful. (Psa.132:14-16) Yeshua has promised that His believers will be given the presence of God (the Holy Spirit) in them. (John 14:16-21, 23) So, indeed, God has chosen to dwell in believers. Where the presence of God is, where there will be no lack of anything needed for survival.

For those who need to travel at night or when there is no more natural light left, there are promises of safety too. The Lord Himself is light. To Him there is nothing hidden. The night shines as bright as day. (Psa.139:12) His Word is a lamp to guide our feet and light to our path. (Psa.119:105) The Lord sees when we travel and when we rest. He goes before us and follows us. (Psa.139:3,5) He will order His angels to protect us wherever we go; they will hold us up with their hands so we wont even hurt our foot on a stone. (Psa.91:11-12)

For those who need to go through nuclear winter or similar disaster, there is hope of safe deliverance, Psa.147: 15He sends his orders to the world—how swiftly his word flies! 16 He sends the snow like white wool; he scatters frost upon the ground like ashes. 17 He hurls the hail like stones. Who can stand against his freezing cold? 18 Then, at his command, it all melts. He sends his winds, and the ice thaws.” Psa.148:8 fire and hail, snow and clouds, wind and weather that obey him,”

His faithful ones have glorious privileges: when the praises of God are in their mouths, they work as sharp swords in their hands. (Psa.149:6,9) God has made His people strong, honoring His faithful ones. (Psa.148:14)

Chapter ninety-three: An evening of Prophetic act and faith leaps!

On the evening Jack decided to carry our the prophetic act as led by the Spirit, the sky was dark with thick clouds. It then started to pour when he was on his way driving. He had never seen such heavy rain since he attended this church. This rain was really heavy.
Prior to this event, he walked about in his own sunny garden and spraying water, praying for a cool evening for the class to carry out the prophetic act in the church compound. Towards the evening, the church technical assistant called him and told him that it looked like a ‘big’ rain was coming there. So he told the brother to prepare the water containers in the covered porch instead of the garden. On his way in the car he prayed that the rain would be delayed and that they could continue with the teaching plan as earlier decided when he was sure of the leading of the Holy Spirit.
By the time he reached his destination the heavy downpour was like torrents of mighty rivers from heaven. However his spirit was lifted up and he gave thanks and praised God for pouring down His blessings even before the class had started pouring out themselves in an act of faith to totally submit to God!
He started the teachings in the sanctuary and explained to the class what they would do and why. He read with them the Bible verses in 1 Samuel chapter 7. What they would enact by faith would be 7:6, “So they gathered together at Mizpah, drew water, and poured it out before the Lord. And they fasted that day, and said there, “We have sinned against the Lord.”

Then he took the class to the front porch where they carried out the prophetic act by faith. Amazingly the rain had suddenly stopped and the garden and driveway down slope looked washed and clean. The sky was still bright and it was indeed a refreshing, cool and very uplifting evening!
As they were doing this as a learning process, he asked them to let the Holy Spirit lead them to pray as they poured themselves out before the Lord. They could confess, repent, and renounce their sins, give supplications, petition and intercessions as led. He encouraged them to pray in the Spirit after they had prayed in understanding.
The class scattered and each one carried a small container of water up and down the garden path and driveway. As each poured out the water before the Lord each prayed and interceded as led by the Holy Spirit. It was quite a sight with people standing or walking and lifting up their hands towards God, pouring out themselves, crying out, making supplications and petitions, casting down their burdens at the foot of the Lord Jesus, singing, praising and worshiping God. There was a powerful anointing and prayers were answered.
A number of edifying testimonies were given after the class. For Jack, it was a worthwhile lesson. He learned the lesson of faith in action too. During the downpour of the torrential rain, he was not dejected or depressed. He persisted with the teaching and reading of the word of God. Then he took the step of faith by leading the class outside to carry out the prophetic act determined not to look at what can be seen, i.e. the heavy rain. Instead, he kept focusing on the unseen, i.e. the spiritual realm where his prayer had already been answered.
His faith was raised to a higher level when he witnessed the event being carried out and accomplished as led by the real teacher Himself, the Holy Spirit.
He prayed that all followers of the Lord Jesus who read this would have faith to carry out these acts of faith too. You will be blessed!
