Daily Word: leveraging law of investment – Matthew 13:23 (top investment)

matthew-1323Today’s word is about investment. Many Christians struggle with how the Word of God really (practically) impacts our lives. Some have found the key and are living the divinely blessed way (super-abundant life) that Jesus has accomplished for His followers. Some are still experiencing the result of the “thief” who came to steal, kill, and destroy. (John 10:10) But God has given every believer the same capital (Seed of life), His Word. Why are there such disparities in the lives of different Christians?

Jesus has explained this in Matthew 13:23 (AMP) And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands and grasps it; he indeed bears fruit and yields, some a hundred times [as much as was sown], some sixty [times as much], and some thirty.” Luke 8:15 Expanded Bible (EXB) And the seed that fell on the good ground…

mark 11: a testimony with notes on how words of knowledge work

My testimony with notes on how words of knowledge work: my discovery that words of knowledge gifting does not go away because of our not practicing it for a long long time. It’s God’s way through the Holy Spirit to put His words in us, because He has planned to carry it out. God is Spirit and uses our human mouth to voice-activate what He has already planned. It is not about us. It is all about God!

Not having used the gift of word of knowledge for others for quite a long time because I have not been in frontline ministry for over a decade, somehow I have lost confidence in hearing God accurately for words of knowledge, (with the exception of my spiritual writing and investment, which of course does not make sense. How can I continue to be confidently hearing God in my personal matters for my own benefits and not able to share the gift with others and benefit them as well?). Two days ago a pastor asked me to join them in some their zoom meetings as a silent anonymous participant, and giving words of knowledge if the Lord leads me. The most recent occasion I used this gift was last year in a class when our instructor told us to practice hearing God. Before he called us to go up the stage to give our words, I already heard mine in the spirit. My word was very simple, call out healing for those who were having bleeding issue. Our class had over two hundred participants of men and women. When it was my turn to share what my word of knowledge was, I told the instructor that it would be quite embarrassing for those who had the bleeding issue to admit in front of such a large audience. I suggested that everyone in the class lay hand on their own body regardless whether they had the issue or not while I prayed. In the days after the class a number of participants told me privately they were healed and the bleeding stopped. Thus I knew that the gift did not stop even though I did not practice it regularly.

Two days ago, the pastor asked me to activate the gift and I agreed. But I had some reservations. So I immediately asked the Lord and the word I received was, “someone needs a healing for dental issue” and in my mind I saw the gum part. But I missed the zoom class somehow last night. Today while talking to the pastor she told me someone was healed of gum issue last night. Then I realized truly God has again spoken and I heard Him clearly in my spirit, regardless the lacking in confidence on my part as I was still thinking of “practice makes perfect” kind of work required on my part. But the truth of the matter is that the gift is a Holy Spirit gift and He will do the work and not me.

I am being asked to participate in the next zoom meeting tomorrow. I asked the Lord immediately this evening. The word I received concerned two issues for healing prayers: dryness of the eye, and itchiness in a specific part of the body (which I am not going to divert here). Being still in my “out of practice” mode, I asked the Lord for words confirmation. He showed me Mark 11:22-24.

Let us read the Bible verses and see what the Lord is saying about the right attitude required.

22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Here are my notes on how words of knowledge work:

  1. It operates by my faith in God and not in me.
  2. “Saying” what I believe is crucial.
  3. My heart must align with what I say.
  4. God actually puts what He is going to do in my heart. He will then make sure it happens just as He tells me.
  5. I am required to speak it out. It only works through voice activation.

While sorting out my thoughts, I recalled that this morning I listened to a teaching on the process of appropriating God’s blessings. The steps are: speak faith-filled words, and then the words will release the blessings of God, which are already in the spiritual realm waiting to be appropriated by voice activation. While listening, I thought of the case recorded in the Book of Acts chapter 9. A disciple Ananias was sent by the Holy Spirit to Saul (converted to Paul) to voice-activate what the Lord has already told Saul. Since Saul (Paul) already knew from the Lord directly his healing and calling, why did Ananias need to come to him and tell him the same thing? Could not Paul lay hand on himself and remove the scales from his own eyes? What is the point of the Lord’s Spirit using another person receiving the word of knowledge and give it to him? I believe it requires a human voice (with faith in God and led by the Holy Spirit) to activate the manifestations of the words. Words of knowledge are important to help out the new believers or non-believers to have faith in God. In the case of Saul, he was converted by the resurrected Jesus (Spirit) but he still needed Ananias (human) to lay hand on him to give him the baptism of the Holy Spirit and also to baptize him with water. In a way, words of knowledge are words spoken by the Holy Spirit through a human mouth to another human.

Be an Ananias.

Acts 9″:10 Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.”

Today’s word: By faith these people received what God had promised them.

Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.

It was by faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did. Abel’s offering gave evidence that he was a righteous man,

It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dyingAnd it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God,

It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise. 10 Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.

11 It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed[b] that God would keep his promise. 12 And so a whole nation came from this one man who was as good as dead

13 All these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it.

24 It was by faith that Moses, when he grew up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25 He chose to share the oppression of God’s people instead of enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin. 26 He thought it was better to suffer for the sake of Christ than to own the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking ahead to his great reward.

29 It was by faith that the people of Israel went right through the Red Sea as though they were on dry ground. But when the Egyptians tried to follow, they were all drowned.

30 It was by faith that the people of Israel marched around Jericho for seven days, and the walls came crashing down.

31 It was by faith that Rahab the prostitute was not destroyed with the people in her city who refused to obey God. For she had given a friendly welcome to the spies.

33 By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight. 35 Women received their loved ones back again from death.

Faith is a shield in the whole armor of God

Ephesians 6:16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.

God is our shield of faith

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.

2 Samuel 22:3 my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. He is my refuge, my savior, the one who saves me from violence.

Psalm 84:11 For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.

Today’s word is faith. seeing the unseen parallel spiritual realm: the power of faith

Today’s word is faith. Faith is the number one key to open the storehouse in heaven. We cannot see faith. But we can see the result of faith in the physical realm. The faith I am writing is not the normal human “faith” based on human understanding and experience of the physical world we know of. It is a faith of the higher level, in fact, so high that we cannot know its operation completely. The Bible calls it “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” We cannot see it because it is linked to hope. If we can see it we do not need hope. It is in the unseen realm and is real. It has substance. The reason we cannot see it is because we re using our physical human eyes. And there is a veil over our eyes that block us from seeing the non-physical realm.

By faith we can understand how it operates. For example, we can understand that the worlds (yes, pleural) were framed by God, using another invisible substance, called, word of God. When He spoke those words, the invisible things come into the physical visible realm and become visible to human eyes. It is like removal of the veil from our eyes and all of a sudden we can see the reality of the parallel world (hitherto unseen).

The reason why Jesus could speak and give command to the fig tree, the wind and waves, the two fishes and five loaves of bread, and the fever, the spirit that had already left the body (e.g. in the case of the dead man Lazarus who had been dead four days), and demons that oppressed people (often manifesting sickness) etc. is because Jesus did not have that veil covering His eyes. He could see into the other realms by faith. He spoke to the invisibles and issued His command and the things there had to obey and attend to His order.

Can we be like Jesus, seeing the unseen and using His authority? The answer is in the Bible. Yes, we can. There are two things we can do like Jesus who says this about he who believes in Him, “the works that I do he will do also”; “and greater works than these he will do”. It means we who believe in Jesus can (1) do the works that He did, and (2) we can do even greater works than what He did while on earth.

After Jesus made the above statement, He spoke on three things that would help us achieve what He claimed. (1) Ask anything in His name and He will do it. (2) We will be given the Holy Spirit, who will live in us and teach us all things and will never leave us. (3) We are given His words, which will abide in us, and because of this abiding, Jesus said, “you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”

The Holy Spirit spoke through the Hebrews writer that without faith it is impossible to please God, for He who comes to God must that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Faith works hand in hand with the Holy Spirit. The Book of Acts recorded a role model believer, Stephen, who was described as a man full of faith, full of and controlled by the Holy Spirit. The results: “Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people.” Famous leaders/debaters tried to dispute with him, but “were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which Stephen spoke.” The council members saw his face as the face of an angel. He was full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus! By faith, Stephen was joined to the Lord (the Holy Spirit) and saw the unseen realm. He lived the supernatural Christian life.

By faith and the Holy Spirit, we too, should live the supernatural Christian life.

1 Corinthians 6:17 (NKJV) 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
